Individual therapy

Treating OCD, anxiety, stress, depression and relationships with one-to-one Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness online.

All my sessions with you will take place over the telephone or on a video call through Skype, WhatsApp, Face-Time or Zoom.

My private practice is located in London, opposite Chancery Lane tube station. However, due to Covid 19 restrictions, I am now solely working online. Video sessions are just as effective as a face to face appointment and it has the added benefit of not being tied to a geographical location.

I offer online individual video therapy sessions Mondays and Tuesdays from 3pm to 9pm and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 1pm by appointment only.

Our sessions together will be an opportunity for us to discuss your problems, goals, aspirations, thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive space. Much of the CBT and the Mindfulness approach is based on the here and now, and it aims at helping you to bring about desired changes in your life. This treatment focuses on the opportunity to develop new adaptive learning and problem-solving.

The aims of the sessions are:

  1. to relieve symptoms and resolve problems.
  2. to help you acquire new skills and coping strategies.
  3. to help you modify underlying cognitive assumptions in order to prevent relapse.

Both CBT and Mindfulness emphasise the collaborative aspect of the client/therapist relationship which means that all aspects of the therapy are made explicit and both client and therapist work together to plan strategies to deal with problems and to achieve explicitly agreed therapeutic goals within a time-limited framework.

If you are unsure whether this form of therapy suits you and your needs, do not hesitate to get in touch, to discuss how we might work together, and we can then decide if this is the best treatment choice for you at the moment. If not, I will advise you on a more appropriate route to take.

My sessions are tailored to each individual need. At the end of our first session, I will give you an idea of how many session are needed to address your difficulties, bearing in mind that most courses of Cognitive  Behavioural Therapy (CBT) last from 6 to 12 sessions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness are an effective way of learning about our internal processes which require practice. This is why the sessions will usually take place on a weekly basis so that you have plenty of time to practice in between. Once you are familiar with the approach and require less support, the sessions can be booked fortnightly or monthly according to your needs.

Throughout the therapy, you will be working towards specific goals that we will identify together so that you can become your own therapist.
